Well, we’ve done it again… and again… and again.
Rolta AdvizeX notched yet another EMC Partner Service Quality Award. (That’s six, in case you’re counting.) There are only a few service organizations in the world that can claim the same EMC recognition, and we’re very proud to be one of them. EMC is a big part of our (and our customers’) world, and it shows every year.
Speaking of which, I just got back from this year’s EMC World and I’m really excited about where things are headed with EMC. They are well positioned today to help businesses get ready for the digital transformation, and it’s reflected in their solutions focus on the Modern Data Center.
Today’s data centers are becoming very different by design, which is evident in the four major components of the Modern Data Center:
- Storage is moving to all Flash, giving customers consistent and predictable performance while dramatically reducing cost and complexity.
- As data centers get bigger, they need to scale out rather than scale up. This gives customers a low cost of entry with the ability to scale massively using very few resources.
- Virtually every organization is becoming cloud-enabled, whether it is just one application or the whole enterprise.
- Software-defined everything allows customers to automate the configuration and deployment of IT services. With the automation of applications, IT can focus on business needs rather than running technology.
EMC, of course, plays into all of these areas, from Flash to hyper-converged infrastructure (VxRail). The IT revolution underway at enterprises isn’t being driven by new technologies, but by the new requirements of the digital transformation of business. CIOs are looking at how they can lower costs while transforming applications for the digital world.
At Rolta AdvizeX, we help companies innovate and optimize by transforming the technology we use to deliver IT services. We do this through a three-step process:
- Modernize the data center
- Automate the delivery of IT services
- Transform business processes and people to make enterprises more mobile, agile, and innovative
It’s a big step for IT to go from building boxes to business cases, which is why partners are so important. You really need someone on your side who can take you through the full journey, from identifying the business goals to sizing, integrating, and managing the technology that will take you there. EMC gets that and, of course, so do we, which is probably why we get along so well. Their world is technology, your world is your customers, and our world is about bridging between those two worlds.
