AdvizeX and Rolta, Celebrating a Successful One Year Anniversary

A year ago this November, AdvizeX joined the Rolta team.

What a tremendous year it has been: the integration is mostly complete, both companies now have complete solution offerings, some major new customers have selected AdvizeX for our managed services, and not one employee position was eliminated as a result of the acquisition.

The success of the acquisition isn’t luck.  AdvizeX joined Rolta out of the desire to extend the capabilities we are able to offer our customers. The decision to become a Rolta Company was one based on a thoughtful, deliberate analysis of what our customers and employees needed to be successful in today’s global marketplace.

Rolta has a rich history delivering innovative solutions to the worldwide market. From the beginning, Rolta has taken a cutting-edge approach to its technology offerings. Unlike others, Rolta combines deep industry experience, proven customer experience in over 45 countries, and a critical understanding of the global IP market. Added to this wealth of experience and expertise, Rolta understands the need for technology partners, which has helped Rolta to deliver complete solutions to its customers across the globe.

This focus on customers and employees mirrors the AdvizeX culture and values. The shared approach to constantly delivering excellence for our customers resulted in an acquisition that was virtually seamless to employees and customers.

Prior to the acquisition, AdvizeX provided IT infrastructure-based solutions to organizations in the Eastern United States, for example, the data center, networking, and virtualization solutions. As part of Rolta, we offer a broader portfolio of infrastructure, services, and software applications. We are able to offer solutions that look beyond infrastructure and take into account business applications and services.

Our Managed Services offering is a crucial new part of our solution.

In one recent example, AdvizeX delivered an infrastructure solution to a mid-market company in New England. Before the solution was implemented, it included a significant managed services contract. We accomplished this by working closely with the customer to understand their unique needs and by bringing the full experience of Rolta’s business development and managed services business to bear on the situation.

Now when we see a need for managed services, which is common when selling our IT infrastructure solutions, we can provide our customers with a complete solution without having to refer them to someone else. We foresee deals like these happening again and again.

There are also plenty of opportunities where Rolta is selling applications and encounters a need for hardware & software – and they bring in AdvizeX to meet these additional customer needs. This business was referred outside the company before the acquisition.

What’s in store for 2014 and beyond? We are continuing to focus on providing premium IT infrastructure solutions and applications and the best managed services to our customers. We will continue to innovate by bringing the combined AdvizeX and Rolta experience to the technology marketplace. We will continue to grow together and take advantage of what we can provide each other; this in turn provides our customers with a more complete solution.
