Pill Puzzle Ornament Game


  I had almost forgotten about these fun little games played during my childhood. When I told my children about this ornament, they had no idea what I was talking about. So, today I introduced them to Pill Puzzle games with this adorable Christmas ornament made almost entirely with recycled items.

What you need:

  • Metal jar lid
  • Old Holiday cards or wrapping paper -NOT EMBOSSED
  • BB's
  • Thick, clear plastic (the kind from a take-out container or bakery goods)
  • Piece of cardboard (from a cereal box or cracker box)
  • Leather punch or smaller hole punch
  • Hot glue - hot glue gun
  • Krylon Indoor/Outdoor primer in All-Purpose White (#51315)
  • Krylon spray sealer in CLear (#18200)
  • Krylon glitter spray in Shimmering Silver (#402)
  • Tinsel
  • Adhesive craft wire

How and How Long:

  1. To construct the outside, spray paint lids using Krylon spray paint and let dry.
  2. Cut cards, and assemble collage using manly, or select one main image.
  3. Make holes into the image with hole puncher. The BB's should settle right into the holes!
  4. Add accents (tinsel along outer edges, mist with glitter spray), assemble, and you're done!
