Colorful Recycled Bottle Lamp

Create some holiday cheer (and be eco-friendly) with these easy to assemble 'lamps'. These are easy to make, it just takes a little time because you can't rush! You can use a drill to make these, but I have opted for my dremel, because it is easier to make the holes nice and round.

What you need:

  • (1) can of Krylon Spray Paint in White Frosted Glass (#9040)
  • Empty Glass Bottles
  • Tape
  • Dremel or other Rotary Tool
  • Diamond Bits
  • Christmas Lights (the bigger the bottle the more lights need to be on the string)

How and How Long:

  1. Clean the bottles - just use soap and water. Make sure these dry completely too.
  2. Paint the bottles with a quick, light coat of frosted spray paint.
  3. Drill a hole in the bottom of the bottle (this should be wide enough to accomodate a cord for christmas light strand).
  4. Stuff lights into the bottle! You can use clear or mulit-colored lights, depending on your decor or preference!

What it Costs:

Cost is approximately $5 (one can of spray paint).
