Mod Podged Holiday Gift Card Tin


  Use a recycled breath mint tin and supplies from your craft stash to create a gift card holder for neighbors, co-workers and other friends!

What you need:

  • Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Satin Spray paint in Ivory (# 53510)
  • 1 used mint tin
  • Mod Podge Sparkle Scrapbook paper - 1/2 sheet
  • Embellishments - ribbon, flower, rhinestones,
  • Christmas stickers
  • Craft Glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue Dots or Double Stick Tape
  • Scissors or craft knife and mat

How and How Long:

  1. Spray paint your tin with several coats of Ivory spray paint; allow to dry. This takes overnight.
  2. Cut out your papers to fit not only the outside of the tin but the inside (15 min).
  3. Mod Podge the paper to the outside lid of the tin (5 min).
  4. Allow to dry (20 min).
  5. Apply a top coat of Mod Podge to the paper and the entire outside of the tin (5 min).
  6. Allow to dry (20 min).
  7. Add embellishments using craft glue (5 min).
  8. Allow to dry overnight before giving as a gift.
Approximate project time: 1.5 hours plus dry-time.

COst is $5 (for one can of Krylon Spray Paint). All of my supplies were from my stash!
