Vintage Halloween Mirror

I made this spooky mirror with Krylon spray paint, bat stencils, cling wrap, and chalk board paint to give a new mirror a vintage feel and celebrate Halloween!

What you need:

  • (1) can Krylon Indoor/Outdoor spray paint in Castle Rock
  • (1) can Krylon chalkboard spray paint
  • Mirror
  • Cling wrap
  • Painter's tape
  • Spray adhesive
  • Newspaper

How and How Long:

  1. Add cling wrap to surface of mirror
  2. Cover surface of mirror with paper and painter's tape.
  3. Spray paint mirror frame in Castle Rock.
  4. Remove paper. Cut a bat stencil.
  5. Apply spray adhesive on the back of the bat stencil and adhere to mirror.
  6. Spray chalk board paint.
  7. Remove stencil. Clean up edges and repeat.
  8. Lightly spray mirror surface with a light dusting of chalkboard paint to give it a haze. It's okay to have some bigger spray spots.
