Flower Pots

Tired of terra cotta? Brighten your flower pots in an instant by painting them with Krylon Dual® Paints.

What you need:

  • Terra cotta pots
  • (1) can Krylon Dual in Sun Yellow Gloss
  • (1) can Krylon Dual in Sky Blue Gloss
  • (1) can Krylon Dual in Ivy Leaf Gloss
  • Drop cloth
  • Blue painter's tape
  • Paper

How and How Long:

  1. Set up a spray area by covering a table or other work surface and the floor with a drop cloth. Make sure it is a well-ventilated area.  Clean all the surfaces of the pots to remove any dirt.
  2. Choose your color scheme for each pots.
  3. Spray the first color onto the top and outside edge of pot as well as the top inside. Painting down about 2 -3 inches on the inside is all that is necessary since there will be potting soil and plants in it. Allow to dry completely.
  4. After the paint has dried, tape the outside edge of the pot where you want to begin the next color, making sure that the edge of the tape is pressed down firmly. Tape the paper to cover the rest of painted portion of the pot and wrap it into the inside of the pot. Spray the second color onto the pot. Allow to dry. Gently remove the paper and tape.
Approximate project time: 1 hour.
