Outdoor Storage Bench


  Garden storage benches are a great way to make your outdoor living space look neat and organized. Something as simple as applying a coat of paint can make an old bench look brand new.

What you need:

  • 2 cans Krylon Semi-Transparent Wood Stain in desired color
  • Drop cloth
  • Masking tape
  • All-purpose cleaner
*Note: To paint plastic storage benches, use Krylon Fusion paint

How and How Long:

  1. Tape off any areas of bin that will not be painted.
  2. Cover work surface with drop cloth and protect surrounding areas from overspray using drop cloths or newspaper.
  3. Using an all-purpose cleaner, thoroughly clean the bin to remove dirt, oils, and dust.
  4. Following the instructions on the can, apply Krylon Semi-Transparent Stain. Moving from left to right, begin spraying off of the surface and finish off the other side. Do not over apply.
  5. If an additional coat is desired, wait 15 minutes before applying.
  6. Let dry completely.
