How and How Long:
- Glue cork squares together in pairs to make seven 1/4" x 9" squares. Stack cork squares together and place something heavy on top until glue dries.
- Spray cork squares with White Primer. Let primer dry thoroughly.
- Spray two squares with Peekaboo Blue. Spray two squares with Sweet Cream. Spray two squares with Coral Isle. Spray one square with Gloss White. Let dry completely.
- To finish #1 blue square, stencil butterfly body in bottom left corner with red and wings with white. Stencil 1" circles on wings, and 3/8" circles on tips of wings and body with yellow. Stencil 3/8" circles inside large yellow circles with light blue. Stencil 3/16" circles on body with black for eyes. Stamp 2 3/4" circle ring in upper right corner with yellow. Stencil number "1" in ring with black.
- To finish #2 coral square, stencil stripes on left side with white. Paint 1 1/4" x 4" rectangles on right side with light blue and red. Stamp circles on rectangles with red and yellow. Stencil wings with white, using caterpillar/butterfly shape. Place screen over stencil and rub black paint over screen to create texture on wings. Stencil 5/16" black circles on right side of rectangles for eyes. Stencil number "2" in center of stripes with black.
- To finish #3 cream square, draw 3", 4" and 5" circles on square with pencil. Draw 1 1/2", 1 3/4" and 2 1/2" circles inside 3", 4" and 5" circles. Paint rings inside drawn circles with light blue, celery and khaki. Stencil 1" circles in larger circles with red. Stencil number "3" in bottom right corner with black.
- To finish #4 white square, paint four leaves from corners to center with celery. Stamp 3" square border on an angle in center of cork square with light blue. Stencil number "4" in center of square with black.
- To finish #5 cream square, stamp interlocking squares symmetrically in corners and center of square with red. Paint 1/2" x 1" rectangles with light blue. Stencil number "5" at center top of square with black.
- To finish #6 coral square, stencil six caterpillar heads on square with celery (do not stencil heads in bottom left corner). Stencil caterpillar eyes with light blue. Stencil number "6" in bottom left corner with black. Stencil 3/4" circle in number "6" with light blue. Stencil 1/4" circles in eyes and number "6" with black. Stencil 3/8" circles on tips of heads and number "6" with red. Paint dots in center of black circles with yellow, using the end of a paintbrush handle.
- To finish #7, paint bug body with red. Paint 2 1/2" head on right side of body with white. Stencil 1" circles at tips of body for feet and 1 1/4" circle on head with celery. Stencil seven 3/4" circles on body with khaki. Stencil 5/16" circles in center of 3/4" circles with red. Stencil two 5/16" circles on top of head with black for antennae. Stencil a 1" circle in green circle on head with black for eye. Place screen over eye stencil and rub white paint over screen to create texture in eye. Stamp squares pattern across top of cork square with yellow. Stencil number "7" above bug with black. Paint dots in center of seven spots on bug with yellow, using the end of a paintbrush handle.
- Once all paint is completely dry, spray all cork squares with Crystal Clear and let dry.
